from the North (Edinburgh, Newcastle)...
From the A19 southbound, head towards Scarborough on the A171. After passing through the villages of Burniston, carry on across the roundabout at the Three Jolly Sailors pub. You are now on Scalby Road and will pass through Scalby village with tennis courts to your left. Continue up the rise, past the Rosette pub and Proudfoots supermarket on your left. We are 200 yards from here on the right hand side.

Alternatively, if you are heading south on the A1 or M1, once near Leeds follow the A1/M1 interchange and pick up the A64 (signposted York, Scarborough). Once on the A64, proceed as per the following description from the South.

From the A1 northbound, take the A64 towards Scarborough. Follow the road into Scarborough centre, passing the football ground on your left. Continue until you reach a roundabout with traffic lights. Turn left and then right into Scalby Road at the mini roundabout after 200 yards (by the Crown Tavern pub). Continue over the next roundabout and you will eventually pass Scarborough hospital on your left. Stay on this road for about half a mile and we are situated on the left hand side, approx. 200 yards before Proudfoots supermarket.
